Abstract

Japanese government performs the various efforts to educate for the personnel in the field of science and technology. One of them is "Super Science High School (SSH)". In this paper, we report on an effect of SSH's education in Yamanashi Eiwa Senior and Junior high school on the satisfaction of mathematics. By using the questionnaire between two points of time, we measured the satisfaction of the students in SSH and standard classes. The results of analysis of the questionnaire showed that the satisfaction of the students in SSH class significantly were increased. On the other hand, the satisfaction of the students in standard class was not increased significantly. From the results of the detailed analysis, we found that the students who improved the use of strategies of comprehension increased the satisfaction. Thus, it is important that the teacher performs not only SSH's education but also improving their use of strategies of comprehension.
