An automatic judgment method of swelling or atrophy of organs for ultrasound diagnosis

Abstract

Ultrasound images that can be obtained tend to vary depending on the proficiency level among the examiners and the operation method of the ultrasound probe in ultrasound diagnosis. To cope with this, we propose an automatic judgment method of swelling or atrophy of organs for the ultrasound diagnosis. The experimental results show the effectiveness of our method to judge swelling or atrophy of the kidney and spleen from the extracted abdominal ultrasound images based on U-net.
