Abstract

Seismic walls with bearing pressure joints between the steel frame and CLT panels are modelled as compression braces, as compression forces are transmitted in the diagonal direction of the seismic wall during horizontal loading. Generally, the brace replacement of a seismic wall is evaluated as a series spring of axial stiffness and joint spring stiffness, but a method has not yet been established for CLT panel seismic walls. To solve this problem, an elemental experimental method is proposed and a correction method for each stiffness is investigated in order to apply the results to CLT panel seismic walls.
