Abstract

The cantilever roof of the stadium generally adopt a lightweight structure. Therefore, the wind load is more dominant than the seismic load in the structural planning of the stadium’s cantilever roof. As an example of an attempt to reduce wind load, there is a construction example in which an eave called a stabilizer is installed at the tip of a roof, but there is no quantitative evaluation of the wind load reduction effect associated with the installation of stabilizers. In this paper quantitatively evaluates the wind load reduction effect due to installing stabilizers on the stadium’s cantilever roof.
