Abstract
We present two cases of inguinal bladder hernia diagnosed by preoperative computed tomography (CT)after reduction of incarcerated hernia and treated by transabdominal preperitoneal repair. First case was 72–year–old man with a right inguinal bulge for one year and second case was 86–year–old man with a right inguinal bulge for three years. Both of them presented to our hospital with a sudden pain from a right inguinal region and were diagnosed with incarcerated inguinal hernia. After manual reduction, CT scan revealed a right inguinal hernia and bladder prolapsed in two cases. They were intraoperatively diagnosed with paraperitoneal type of bladder hernia. This case report showed that a preoperative diagnosis of bladder hernia and a laparoscopic approach to Retzius space correctly separated by operator were important in order to prevent bladder injury.
